This is a new author to me and I've read 3 of his books now - I really enjoy them! Action, intrigue, and suspense plus a great hero!

Another exciting episode in the life of Scot Harvath, ex Navy Seal and government counterterrorism operative. After Harvath quietly relieved Canada of a known terrorist master bombmaker, things start to heat up in New York.

When terrorists blow up bridges and tunnels, Harvath and his mentor, Bob Herrington put together a team and try to stem the flow of mass destruction and find those responsible.

A well-written book with a good story line that will keep you engaged. However, a strong political message. If you are strongly behind torturing captives and political assassination, and believe that any U.S. citizen that may mention human rights hates America and is a pawn for the enemy, this is the book for you.

I enjoyed this book. It took me a little time to read it as parts at the beginning were a little slow but then it got very interesting. This is trhe first book I read from this author and will look at some of the others. I was looking for another author loke Vince Flynn. This was different.

My first Brad Thor, a great read, almost as good as a Vince Flynn book. I will have to request additional books from Brad.

After stumbling across Thor's first book,I've become a big fan of his. So much that he now ranks up there with Vince Flynn (my favorite). Compared to his first book, Takedown grabs the readers' attention immediately and doesn't let go. With a number of twists and turns within the chapters. one is torn between setting the book down or ignoring the world around them. I give this spy novel two thumbs up.

Another hang on tight, take no prisoners thriller by Brad Thor. Scot Harveth once again saves the day, and the world, although wounded and tired, he still pulls it off. He knows what he's doing ,and. makes no apologies for that. Bad guys abound in this book, and I for one am very glad that there are people like Scot Harveth who will make sure they don't get to live very long.

July 4th weekend, New York City: As thousands of holiday travelers make their way out of Manhattan, a flawlessly executed terrorist attack plunges the city into panic and death. Amid the chaos, an elite team of foreign operatives is systematically searching for one of their own, a man so powerful that the US government refuses to admit he even exists and will do anything to keep him hidden. Now, with the worlds deadliest enemy upon Americas doorstep, counter terrorism operative Scot Harvath must fight his way through the burning city streets to take down an invisible terrorist mastermind with the means to unleash hell on a global scale.

Scot Harvath is back. Book 5 in this series of thrillers, has the action taking place in New York City. These are attacks to dwarf the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center. But what are they really?

Enjoy this story told in Brad Thor's easy flow. There is a steady flow of characters from the previous books to give the story some depth, and to build on future books in the series. And while this story stands on it's own, it also pushes right into book 6 of the series 'practically the next day'.

Enjoy this book and order the next in advance so you won't have to wait.
