Liked the concept of this book a whole lot more than the actual book itself. I didn't realize it was an erotic novel, which is fine, but I felt the book as well as the constant sex scenes to be unrealistic and tedious. The hero and the heroine both were irritating and I didn't like either one much. I ended up flipping thru the last half just to find out what happens to them and to be done with it only to find out it didn't end any better than it began.

Very steamy book, which I enjoyed because I like steamy books.
However, the heroine did get very annoying. Because she's a size 16 she's been teased all her life and has very low self-esteem, which hinders her relationship with the heroine. As a woman who is big (bigger than a size 16 even) she just came off as annoying. I was never as bad as she was, and the constant whining and asking "Am I good enough?" just became much too annoying nearing the end of the book.
I also love how the model on the cover is SO not even close to a size 16.

STEAMY!!! As a plus size woman, I appreciate Bella Andre's endorsement that full figured are just as wicked and sexy as their thin counter-parts. As with most of Andre's books , the plot does move a little too quickly then it would in the real world, but her sex scenes are the real highlight. Dirty and juicy with a touch of class...just the way I like it!

First, the model on the cover is NOT a size 16 or even close to a plus-sized woman as the heroine is. One of the ways this book is different from others in the series is the size of the heroine. So many times in the story we're told she's not thin or slim, but the publishing company puts a slim woman on the book cover. I'm not plus-sized, but I think it's important the cover stay true to the book.
The heroine has the worst self-esteem I've come across in a story. Nearly every other page is filled with some reference to her size. The hero is a jerk though he eventually reforms his ways, but by the time he did, and it comes near the end of the story, I didn't care about him and felt the two deserved each other.
The story is pretty flimsy. The heroine has lusted after the hero for years. He hasn't noticed her until now. They have a passionate romance in Tuscany. A big misunderstanding happens. Who didn't see that coming? But the big misunderstanding is neatly resolved and a happy ending occurs. Take Me is a far better book that the next in the series (Love Me), but that said it's very predictable and filled with one sex scene after another. I have nothing against those scenes, but more story and less making out would have been better.

This is definately erotic with a cap "E." It's set in San Francisco my home turf so that was fun. I enjoyed this one eventhough it;s not what I usually read.
