This is the first Balducci novel I have read. The story is very good, I just wish I had started a character list because I had a hard time keeping everyone straight, but, don't let that bother you.
Above-average conspiracy-type thriller.
This is a book that I could not put down. It is a exciting read. Enjoy.
This is a reader's digest version of the hardback -- I read a few chapters and became bored. I'm high maintenence -- what can i say?
Fast reading and suspenseful!
Any book by Baldacci is 5 star quality. Absolutely first class suspense.

The book is fast paced and suspensefull with lots of plot twists.
Very good and suspensefull, this is first book I have read of his and I will definitely look for more.
A precursor to 9/11? Read it and tell me what YOU think.....
I could not figure this one out until right at the end. You never know with Baldacci.
The bestselling author of Absolute Power and the Winner proves again that he is a superstar in the thriller firmament; Determined to give his family the best of everything, young executive Jason Archer has entered into a deadly game of cat and mouse. He is about to disappear, leaving behind a wife who must sort out his lies from his truths, an air crash investigation team that wants to know why his plane suddenly fell from the sky and a veteran FBI agent who wants to know it all. Soon the startling truth behind Jason Archer's disappearance explodes into a sinister plot with the murder of the country's single most powerful individual. And Archer's wife, Sidney, is plunged straight into the violence that is leaving behind a trail of dead bodies and shocking, exposed secrets.
Couldn't put this down!
I thought this book was alright. It is not my favorite by David Baldacci but I would recommend it.
Very engrossing read.
When Baldacci "gets it right", he really does (and he does in this one!). The characters are full of life, literally jumping off the page; don't lose track though, because there are lots of them. The story is riveting and fast paced; the ending sneaks up on you. All in all, a very good, page turning read!
A little slow moving compared to other Baldacci books I've read.
Typically Baldacci! Grabs you on the first page and holds you captive til you finish it.
Great book with a surprise ending!
Suspence at it's best. You just can't beat a Baldacci novel!
A GOOD THRILLER. LITTLE DIFFERENT THAN THE RUN OF THE MILL. BALDACCI IS ALWAYS GOOD.
A reprint of one of Baldacci's earlier novels. I liked it, but I think I like his more recent works better. This one involves 2 major technology companies bidding to purchase another tech company that has developed something that will make the Internet obsolete. Man at one bidding company is married to a lawyer at a firm with other lawyers representing bidding company 2. Story also involves Federal Reserve Bank officers, FBI agents, hired killers, kidnappers, evil geniuses, etc., etc. I had to make up a list of characters and their relationships, which helped, and I enjoyed the story, but it seemed more complicated than it needed to be. Oh, and did I mention the plane crash?
It was a good storyline but a little slow in places overall a good read

Gripping thriller.
As with his previous novels, keeping the reader quessing is a priority.

Fast paced thriller
This is a fast moving suspense filled book. David Baldacci is one of the better mystery thrill writers.
I liked this book. I thought it was hard to get into in the beginning. I had a difficult time keeping the characters straight to begin with. And I ended up putting the book down two or three times before I got into it. But once I got to the middle it really moved along and I thought the ending was very satisfying.
Fast and scary moving at the pace of a flying bullet. High voltage suspense.
Baldacci writes terrific mysteries. Money, plane crash, lies, FBI. Fast paced.
I really loved this book I've read every Baldacci he has written so far and I have never bee disappointed. This book keeps you guessing right to the final pages. A great who done it read!
I was halfway through the book when I realized I didn't care how it ended. Thus, I didn't finish it...
Great book with many twists and turns!

She has the world. a good job, a husband and daughter she loves. Then a plane crashes into the Virginia countryside, changing everything. Suddenly there is no one whom she can trust.
NY Times bestseller. Excellent read.
Very exciting - hard to predict the outcome!
Suspenseful, fast moving powerful story. Jason Archer is an executive for Triton Global, a technology conglomerate. He disappears, leaving behind a wife who must sort out lies from truth.
While this is an earlier book from David Baldacci and some of the material seems dated, it was suspenseful and exciting. I couldn't wait to see how it ended.
Sidney has a husband she loves, a job at which she excels and a wonderful young daughter. She has it all! And in one minute everything changes! This thriller has everything... airplane crash, a car chase, kidnapping, phone-tapping and industrial espionage. Hard to put down! Fast and scary! You will want to read it in one day!
this book was a good read.
Another outstanding book by Baldacci. I have loved every book of his I have read so far. Keeps you locked in the whole way.
Sidney Archer is devastated when she hears that the plane carrying her husband to Los Angeles has crashed. But her nightmare begins when she learns he'd traded identities and flown to Seattle instead. Evidence suggests that Jason Archer was selling corporate secrets to a high-tech rival. Soon Sidney herself is caught in a web of intrigue as wealthy men vie for more power and money. Fired from her law firm, pursued by hired killers eager to recover an encrypted computer disk Jason had mailed to himself, Sydney finally trusts only the FBI agent who believes her innocent. No one is immune here from high-tech snooping and violent death. Baldacci writes strictly for action, not wasting time developing characters or setting. Few books have higher heaps of dead millionaires at their conclusion.

I really enjoyed this book. A lot of action right up til the end.
Excellent spy/adventure thriller. Moves right along.
Wow, great page turner. The twists keep coming every time you turn the page. Fast moving, lots of action, and am engrossing story. Sometimes he gets a little bogged down in the details, but over-all a thumbs up.
Middle pages are wavy, maybe from moisture,no stains visable, not sure what does this, but otherwise book is good and readable, Excellent book,
