If you've been diagnosed with Syndrome X or Insulin Resistance this is the book to read.
It was written by the doctor that first brought this condition to the medical world's attention and lays it all out here for you. It can be a little dry but this guy knows his stuff. Most of all the other books on this topic base their work off of Reaven so I suggest you read him first. I found it very informative and used his book in combination with "The insulin Resistant Diet" (another great book) lost 40lbs and really turned the state of my health around.
