Oh my goodness, if you have a nook, go buy this book for $0.99! It is worth a lot more than that! The world the author makes is awesome. I didn't read any reviews before I got this book, so I didn't really know where it was going to go. I was guessing to myself while reading it, but couldn't figure it out. Was a twist it was! The main character, Wendy, is quite immature at first, but I think is a good addition to plot. It allows her to grow and figure out who she wants to be, not what she needs to be. Finn is awesome. One of those male characters you wish were real so you could snatch him up! The plot of it was really smooth and flowing. I could not stop reading this book, I did not stop until I was finished. I am very excited to read the continuation of the story! 5 out of 5 stars.

This was a pretty good book. I loved the concept, the story was good, BUT MY OH MY!!! Was this written by a 14 year old? No, sorry, maybe a 12 year old? The vast amount of spelling a grammar errors run rampant in this book. it got pretty annoying after a while. In fact on page 234 there were about 2 paragraphs that were duplicated on the same page... it would've gotten 5 stars otherwise, but I'm only giving it 4. Whoever the editor was needs to be fired, they did an awful job. But still the story was good enough for me to put the next book on my wishlist... Enjoy!

I really couldn't muster up too much enthusiasm for this book. It wasnt bad, but it was slow moving. Nothing really happened throughout the story and I never felt a connection with any of the characters. I disliked the way Wendy was treated by Elora. There was no real reason for it and Wendy was kept in the dark a lot regarding what was going on and what she was expected to do. I wanted more answers to my questions and I guess they may be in the next two books, but Im not sure when that is going to happen.
Wendy doesnt really fit in anywhere shes been kicked out of schools, doesnt make friends, hates all kinds of food. And then she discovers she can get people to do what she wants if she focuses hard enough. When other strange things start to happen around her, Wendy starts trusting the new kid, Finn, and heads out on a journey that will undoubtedly change her life.
This was a fast read for me, I finished it in the span of a few hours, and it was an entertaining, nice escape read for an afternoon. Although the book follows a somewhat predictable plot, one that I think were all somewhat familiar with lately with YA books, but its still enjoyable and slightly different in that the paranormal beings are, in fact, trolls. I also liked that while there was some romance, it wasnt nearly so explicit as it can be in other series, and Im a fan of YA novels actually being somewhat age appropriate.
