Schoolmarm Eden Devlin was too tall and too doggone smart. Most men in Sweetwater wouldn't tangle with her. Until Burke Kerrigan rode into town. Big, hard, and handsome, he wore a pair of six-guns and a bold, lazy smile. He came to settle the war between the nesters and the ranchers, but soon had another challenge on his hands. — Both sides i...  more »

I love historical romances but I normally don't favor those with a "western" theme. However, "Sweetwater Seduction" is definitely a KEEPER!!!

The heroine, spinster schoolteacher Eden Devlin, is smart and spunky and provided a number of laughs.

Burke Kerrigan is a gunslinger with a heart of gold. Ruggedly handsome yet boyishly charming, I couldn't help but picture him as Jack Hughman.

The chemistry between these two was only slightly overshadowed by the battle of sharp wits that ensued between them throughout the book.

Laughs, likeable secondary characters, and a few tugs on the heartstrings (I cried at the end *blush) - I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone!

Spinster schoolteacher Eden Devlin was desperate when she convinced rancher and nester wives to withold sex from their husbands until they agreed to end a devastating range war. But frustrated husbands held at arm's length by their wives resorted to their own desperate measures--andhired gunslinger Burke Kerrigan to seduce Miss Devlin, "cause if she knew what she was missin', she'd tell our wives to let us back in the bedroom!"

With the battle lines drawn between husband and wife, Burke Kerrigan has his work cut out for him. Time is of the essence as he sets out to seduce Miss Devlin. But Kerrigan quickly learns that it's not easy to hoodwink an educated woman, and the battle of sharp wits and even sharper passions that ensues results in an all-or-nothing love that takes both spinster and gunslinger by suprise.

The farmers and the cattlemen in the Wyoming territory are blaming each other for many things, but they are brought up short when the spinster school marm convinces the wives to follow the example of "Lysistrata" and withhold sexual favors until there is peace. There are a few complications to this, including a dark stranger who's cast his eye on her favors. A charming historical western, with some real laugh-out-loud sections.

A great historical romance. Feisty heroine (Eden Devlin), strong hero (Burke Kerrigan) . Romance, mystery, conflict- all present and accounted for. Loved the verbal confrontations and interactions between Eden and Kerrigan.
