Another good story from Chisholm about the adventures of "Robert Carey." Carey is sent to kill the assassin who attempted to kill King James I. Sgt. Dodd was badly wounded in the last book and is presumed dead. Won't tell you what happens with him in this one.

Chisholm published this book in 2018 and wrote a couple of others since, but not in this series. I wish she would, as this one ended with a cliffhanger. Leaving me to wonder if she won't end the series with everything tied up.
