An author, soon to be published (well almost), invites four friends, upon whom her characters are loosely based, to her Malibu beach house. Her ultimate motive is to get them to sign waivers for the publisher; her characters obviously hit far too close to home. So here they are sandwiched between a landslide and a raging forest fire with only the ocean for refuge. This must have been the prototype for the recent Windex® commercial, as everyone keeps slamming into the sliding glass doors. While it starts out short on laughs, dont become discouraged; there are more than enough chuckles to ensue. I saw many a play in the 80s; how did I miss this one?
