The author must have taken far too much "acid"; this is the most inane, inarticulate, and absurd abstract regarding human consciousness and its evolution I've read in a long time (and I read an AWFUL lot of books on this topic). I think this must have been the guy seated next to be in "Abnormal Psychology", the one who pretty much encapsulated what was in the text book. Duh.
