Good book for someone that does not want to feed pre-made baby foods to their kids. Sections on specific nutrients in foods, and ages to introduce foods, among others. Has recipie ideas as kids get older, and ideas for money saving ideas for crafts and cleaning etc. Vegitarian and green living freindly.

While I had good intensions when I bought this book, I ended up using it solely for the 'when to introduce certain foods' schedules in the book (which are very helpful). This is a dense book, with a ton of information: recipes, nutrition charts, craft ideas and homemade household cleaners.

I never did end up making the Super Baby Food.

Lots of great ideas and the author has a good heart. It's just difficult to believe one could find the time to do all of it, or that one's baby would go along with the idea.

I used this book for both of my babies and have written the recipes we love on index cards so I can share this with someone else who will love it. Feed your baby organic foods!!

Excellent book for teaching yourself how to make your own baby food and SAVE TONS OF MONEY. It' actually pretty easy and you don't need to go as in-depth as the author does. But it does provide excellent information, indepth nutrition guides, cooking preparation tips, and tons of recipes.

This book has way more info than most people will need but everyone with babies can find something useful in it. I had several baby feeding type of books when my kids were babies and this is the one I came back to again and again. It has very useful tips. I bought it new at full price and definately got my monies worth.

This is a great book that goes into incredible detail of how to make your own baby food, what baby should be eating, when he should eat what, and lots of recipes and neat ideas.

If you want to make your own baby food, household cleaners and arts and craft supplies, this is a great place to start! Lots of nutrition advice and ideas. A good way to start kids off strong eating vegetables and other healthy foods.

A book with a few axes to grind, but also some very good information. Mostly vegetarian.

If you are trying to avoid food allergies in your child, there is much more current research on this subject than is provided in this book. Talk with your pediatrician about the recommended timing and sequence of adding foods to your baby's diet. In her disclaimer, the author advises that the reader consult a pediatrician or registered dietitian if professional assistance is needed; this message should be emphasized more throughout the book, particularly regarding guidance if your baby seems to be having any type of feeding or diet problem.

Extremely helpful, even if you don't make your own baby food.

This is my favorite "how to" for basics for making my grandson's baby food, especially the stage 1 variety. I really like that it gives details for each food, whether
it needs to be cooked or not, if it can be frozen, and even how long the food can be frozen. Although there are many recipes for later, just having the basics to start out has been very helpful. I have other baby food books, but this one has details that the others don't, and if I was going to keep only 1, this would be it.

While there is a lot of great information in this book, the layout is ridiculous. It is very hard to find what you are looking for. The words are jammed together in some places and there are a few pages of just running text with a small bullet dividing different ideas. If you have the patience to sift through this book (with a hungry child, no less) by all means get this book.

Additionally, some of the recipes are a bit over the top. I get wanting your child to eat healthy and have wholesome, fresh foods and whole grains. But there is a recipe for super flour that you are suppose to use... what I'm saying is the book gets pretty involved. Some of the ideas for getting your child to eat are handy (when you can find them in the book), but some are so, well, absurd for parents to do for their 1+ year old child. A watermelon basket comes to mind, but there are others.

The book does have a crazy amount of info and ideas so I gave it 3 stars. It's not the book's fault that I don't have the patience to sift through it.

Oh yeah. Lots of typos. The book retails at 19.99 US dollars and I would be angry if I spent 20 bucks on a book with this many typos. But that's just me.

Great information in this book. The reason I did not give it fully five stars is that she almost goes in to too much detail (e.g. how to get air out of baggies). However, overall, this book is extremely useful and the information valuable.

Overall, some good ideas and recipes. However, I disagree with her reasons for not including meat in the Super Baby Food diet--I believe this is way off-base. Meat is good and important for children to have in their diets.
Great for fruit, vegetable, dairy recipes. Some info on meat as requested by her readers, but only a few meat recipes.
