The tenth book in Earlene Fowler's "Benni Harper" series is another excellent story of life in the fictional San Celina community. I love her characters - they all seem like real people, and most of them ones I'd love to have as friends. I especially enjoy the interplay between Benni and her police chief husband, Gabe Ortiz - two stubborn people, whose hardheadedness is always overcome by their deep love for one another.

Loved this book! Earlene Fowler is a fascinating mystery writer, whether one likes quilts or not. Her characters are believable, her situations are suspenseful, and the resolutions are always surprising. I especially like continuing to see the lives of Benni Harper and the other characters throughout all her "quilters" books. Always a good read, a real page-turner.
