A great book for a rainy afternoon or snowday. If you're not Italian, some of the insider info will go right passed you. But that won't hinder your enjoyment of this book at all.

I'd searched for a simple, light-hearted book, an easy read before falling asleep, and as I read the beginning I thought I'd gotten too much of what I'd wished for. Too simple to the point of immaturity, the plot and dialogue predictable and the ethnicity played to stereotypical. I came so very close to quitting it. But since I quit just too darn many books lately, I persevered.
I am so glad that I kept going. The plot tightened, made some fresh twists and turns, the characters while still very simple, became more interesting, likable. It's a love triangle, yet more than that because it does involve a strange familial infidelity. An odd case here, and you'd have to read it to understand. I liked that the story is seen and told through a dead man's eyes, and that in the end, what seems impossible, actually works out. I'm at a loss on how to review something unacceptable and say that it is a good read. The man is one of those stereotypical older guys, pillar of the community, loved by all, who just couldn't keep it in his pants. And yet, I do recommend it for something sweet and light if that is what you need at the time.

A story about a young man accepting family responsibilities(his Dad's death and death bed confession) and becoming an adult.

I wasn't able to get through this book. I loved his first book "Home to Italy". This one however didn't peak my interest.

Love this author! This was a great story. Refreshing funny & a feel good book. I can't even rfelease my copy. Have to keep it on my bookcase. Highly recommend this book. No crude lanuguage or explicit sex. Nice to be entertained without all the foul words. Thanks to this author to write such a great story. This book will make your heart sing. Am on the hunt for his other books. Makes me want to go to Rhode Island & Italy!!!! Also a little spiritual uplifting.
