One of my favorites, and different from your standard chick lit plot. Very engaging, Gehrman is a wonderful storyteller. I also recommend her other novel, "Tart" as it is equally good.

ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I'VE READ RECENTLY. It grabs hold and doesn't let go til the very last page. Once Anna( the main character) step into "the land of skin" it's like your in there with her. I would not consider this book to be chic lit . Not in a bad way. This book exceeded all of my expectations. I got lost in the land of skin and with the unusual characters. I loved how this book was not afraid to bring out the shocking nitty gritty but then balance it out with moments of purpose and self discovery to the characters. A MUST READ!
