I received SUMMER OF THE DRAGON just as I'd finished a couple other books, and instead of putting it correctly at the bottom of the TBR pile, I read it the day it came. What a rollicking, fun, mystery/adventure/romance! I loved it!

I am a great fan of Elizabeth Peters (Barbara Mertz), especially the Amelia Peabody mysteries. Summer of the Dragon is a very tongue-in-cheek, light-hearted mystery that is great entertainment, if that is what you are looking for. It was written in 1979, so is a little dated in some aspects, but is still capable of holding one's attention.
