Wow, and wow again! This author is fabulous. With the high cost of books these days, I never buy books brand new - except for ones by this author. Then I rush to the bookstore as soon as they're released. Not once has this author let me down. Every single one of her books have been keepers.
This book was just wonderful. I devoured it in a weekend. I just couldn't put it down. This author has once again made wonderful characters that jump immediately into your heart and stay there. They were both loveable. He had his rough spots, but was basically a good guy--none of that domineering male garbage that you find so often in romance novels today. And while she was a woman imprisoned by fear, she was still a strong, couragous person, not a little mouse that you want to smack some sense into. (And, contrary to what most authors do with sheltered heroines, this one did not turn into a slut!) Not many authors could handle the issue of agoraphobia so well, but this one did it without being too preachy or silly.

A man finds a diary of his ancestors in a dusty attic and delves into their story: in 1889 Rachel Hollister has secluded herself away from the world after her family is brutallly murdered. Fearful of contact with the outside world with no one to help her, she has no choice but to accept the help of a man who tries to help her overcome her fears, one small step at a time, and by trying to find the murderer of her family. Good story. Entertaining.

Beautiful love story. It is too bad that we can't always remember to treat the ones we care about with as much understanding as Joseph does with Rachel.

This was a great book, kept your intrest til the very end, couldn't put it down. The year is 1889 and Racheal hasn't set foot outside her home in five years. Ever since a savangage attack left her family dead, she's cordoned herself off from the outside world, afraid to let anyone on her doorstep, and suddenly she has no choice but to let a handsome rancher invade her well guarded excistence.

This book is a fantastic end to the story that began with Keegan's Lady. I enjoyed this book and was pleased that it had such an awesome ending. This was the first series by Anderson that I've read but I will be reading more by her. I highly recommend this series.

I loved this book!! At first I thought it was a strange setup with Racheal locking herself up in her home for 5 years. But, the story sucked me right in and I had a hard time putting it down. Catherine Anderson is a GREAT author....I love every book I've read by her so far.

A Coulter family romance. Rachel Hollister has been barricaded in her kitchen for five years, ever since her family was murdered. Now she's in danger again. Joseph Paxton, a neighbor, made a reluctant promise to guard her until the threat has passed.
A really really sweet love story. I couldn't put it down. I don't write a review about every book I post, but when I read one this good I feel I owe it to this group to let everyone know!
I love Catherine Anderson. She's a remarkable storyteller and I am always sad to see the books end!

Tucker Coulter (Coulter Family Series) finds the diary in the attic at his mothers home. He and his mom read the 1800's diary and take a walk back in time. Wonderful "prequel" to the Series.

Awesome series.
Another typical Catherine Anderson book with the herione having some sort of handicap -- whether physical or mental. In this one she has agoraphobia. I enjoy her books but sometimes they do get a little too sweet and predictable. But it's enjoyable if you like her other books.

Pretty good book. The characters are interesting but the story is a little farfetched. It's a quick, interesting read though.
Anderson goes into the past to tell the story of a Coulter ancestor. An excellent story, and well written. The main character here is a brother to Ace Keegan from Keegan's Lady.

Another great read by Catherine Anderson. I read this book in about a day and a half and just couldn't put it down. I highly recommend it.
Wonderful book. Catherine Anderson always knows how to grip your heart with her stories. This one is no different. I look forward to Tucker's story. This is linked to some previous titles, but can definetly stand alone.

sequal to 1996 book, Keegan's Lady, and the Coulters from her other series are decendants of the Paxton family, so this ties in with the Coulter series
Most of Andersons' books are contemporary romance books; however, this book is historical - set in the 1800's. Anderson addresses some sort of medical condition in her books. In this book it is agoraphobia. If found this books' mystery, romance and insight into agoraphobia interesting and riveting.

It is about a woman that will not come out of her house because of fear. Something tragic took her entire family one day and she hasn't been able to get over it. It was the best one yet of hers that i have read. Carol
This was the first book that I seriously could NOT put down and I was so caught up in the story that I finished it at 3:15am! What a wonderful storyline and not your "typical" romance novel - I wanted to find out what happened at the end so bad that I just flew through the book. Plus it was set back in time - the 1880's and I just love history. But you couldn't tell it was set back in that time based on what the characters did and what they talked about, same ol' stuff as today. One of the best books I've read yet! Love this author!
Not my favorite of C.A.'s but still good. The follow up novel to "Keegan's Lady".
Great book. the second in a series
Interesting book set in 1889 about an agrophobic woman and the man who helps her. A romance that's unusual and heartwarming.
Catherine Anderson writes like a dream, and Summer Breeze is no exception. This novel will have you laughing and crying from beginning to end, especially at the end-no doubt about it. The two main characters Joseph and rachel shared the kind of love that is only a myth in this century.
I recommend anything by this author. This book is definitely a keeper, which is why it pains me to let it go.

Well written about a woman that has fears to overcome and has a stranger that is her guardian that comes to try and love makes a warm cocoon.

After KEEGAN'S LADY, probably any story would have been a comedown, however, this story is unique and engrossing. Rachel Hollister hasn't stepped outside of her house for 5 years; since her family was murdered at a creek on their property. The only person left in Rachel's employ is shot at the same place but Darby drags himself to Joseph Paxton's property. Darby is sure that this shooting is related to the one 5 years ago and begs Joseph to rush to Rachel's house and protect her.
