I've been reading Wiggs' books in order and find that each book inproves in structure, plot, etc. This book is no exception and I really appreciate seeing familiar names from past books in each new book. It is good that each books stands on its own, however, and reading the books prior to the one being read is not necessary.

What is it about her situation that intrigues him? A time of intrigue, high society ballrooms, violence, corruption, and the precious gift of a second chance. A must read!
