A well-writen mystery novel in the Inspector Lynley series. This one is in Cornwell. Great British mystery. My favorite author.

A gripping story of love, family and friendship with just happens to have murders wrapped up in it as well.

I'm not a big mystery reader, but I do enjoy Elizabeth George because of her characters. Her stories are about people, not just murders. This was no exception.

A contemporary murder mystery set in Britain. Rich folks, drug use, love affairs and medical research all play a part in this fairly typical whodunnit.
Not bad - my main complaint is that for the first couple of chapters you really think one of the main characters is an older man, then you find out he's 32. (Both the friend who gave me the book and I felt this way). It's disconcerting to have to readjust your mental image of him so suddenly. And I didn't find the drug use, as portrayed, very convincing. I got the feeling Ms. George has likely not tried any illegal drugs (not that I'm saying she should!)

This book goes back in time & fills in part of the story of Tommy & Deborah's engagement. They all go to Cornwall for an engagement weekend.

This book has a little bit of everything. Lots of turmoil among the different families (Lynley's, St. James' & Deborah's), some drug dealing, sex & jealousy. It was well worth the read, especially if you're a fan of the series. It's prior to Lynley's partnership with Havers, but she does make a short noteworthy appearance.
