As practicing professionals, it became evident that most work ont the subject is written from a descriptive, quantitative frame resulting in facts, lists, and programs, Yet what has always been impressive to us about youth in suicidal states is their consistent, phenomenological presentations of pattersn of overt and covert behavior which entrap them, moving them into a frame and state where death is an option effused with power. THus, we have attempted to give the educator a basid understanding of what moves a vital young person from life into the structures and dynamics that work death.
