My 16-year-old just finished reading/devouring Lisa Lutz's Spellman Files series and is looking for a new series to start. I think he tends to like contemporary mysteries, whereas I tend to lean toward historical mysteries, so I was hoping I could get some suggestions for similar books he might like? Thanks in advance!

P.S. He seems to like protags with humor and funny/sarcastic personalities.
