"There's No Such Thing as Business Ethics" by John Maxwell is a simple, straight-forward read on one guiding principle needed in business. Written in 2003, some of the reference are a bit dated - many of them were dated at the time the book was written - and that's part of the point. Some values, some guiding principles stand the test of time. At times I felt I was reading a who's who of pop culture. Maxwell intertwines abundant quotes and references from nearly every major ethics, self-help, self-awareness writer I've read in the past 25 years. Personally, there was little new but everything was framed in such a way as to serve as a reminder about what is really important.
