5th in series.
I actually found myself torn on this book.

While I love reading about Georgina and Seth, I wasnt too thrilled with this book. Georgina gets kidnapped and mentally tortured by Nyx's children throughout 75% of this book. Even though we get to learn about Georgina's past, the replays of it werent really all that important to the plot. Georgina goes through a lot of mental anguish in this story. Seth and Maddie are getting married, another succubus is impersonating her, the question about her contract with Hell is brought back up, someone she knows is murdered trying to reveal the contents of the contract, and another someone she knows is deemed termanilly ill. If thats not enough of a hard pill to swallow, Seth accidentally called Georgina by her mortal name: Letha, and now Georgina is left with more questions than ever. Seths' soul is now darkened with the guilt from cheating on Maddie, and its no longer pure, but more like a shadow. Now Georgina is going back and forth on wether or not she really wants to be with Seth. Hmmf.

I would say its definitely worth the read if you have followed the series from the beginning. This is not a stand alone book. Im keeping my fingers crossed that the final book will blow me away!

WOW what a book! Georgina Kincaid sure does get around. The trouble she gets in almost rivals Anita Blake though in a different direction. I was shocked that Georgina was helping with planning Seth's wedding to Maddie. WTF! I seriously did not see that coming since she is so in love with him and Maddie is her best friend.

When Georgina is dream-napped, the torture is unbelievable and extremely cruel. Her entire cadre of friends (Jerome, Roman, Carter, Erik and of course Seth) join forces to bring her back. Very exciting situation. The cliff-hanger ending is killing me. Erik kept saying two contracts. Boy do I ever wonder whose.

Darker than previous books, Georgina is sucked into her worst nightmares. Her friends try to find her, some surprise her with their feelings, but she has disappeared. This is pure torture for her and those who care for her. She has dreadful event after dreadful event threatening to break her.Roman, Seth, Maggie, Jerome, Carter, Erik, Cody, Peter and Hugh the ole gang is still their with some new characters thrown into the mix, nasty ones. There was not enough Carter for me, I like him. Perhaps the next book. This one ending with us semi-hanging on a cliff...What will happen ??? So the series continues, YES !

This is the fifth book in the Georgina Kincaid series by Richelle Mead. As far as I know, six books are planned for this series. This was an excellent addition to the series, in fact I think it was the best book in the series so far!

Georgina has a lot going on. She is forced into helping her best friend Maggie plan a wedding with her ex, Seth. She is trying to learn to deal with having Roman for a roommate, and there is another Succubus in town on vacation that is making Georgina's life miserable because the visiting succubus keeps hitting on Seth. Of course all those problems are nothing compared to what's been happening to Georgina at night. Whenever Georgina gets a little depressed she starts hearing music that lures her away from wakefulness, when she comes back to she finds herself in dangerous situations. These periods of unawareness are getting progressively worse and Georgina is getting scared about what will happen if she is lured all of the way away.

This was a great book, there is so much going on and the story was wonderful. Mead is an excellent writing and does a great job creating both a tight plot and wonderful characterization. The book was really engaging and super hard to put down. I stayed up late a couple nights in a row because I just couldn't stop reading.

Georgina spends a good part of this book trapped in a dream state where she is forced to relive a lot of her past. This was awesome to read about because I love learning more about Georgina's past; the history and settings are always so interesting, and it always shows you new aspects of her personality. That was again true, we learn more about how Georgina has served as a succubus and about when she started to tire of her role.

Roman is in this book a lot and plays a pretty big role; he is a great character so it was good to see more of him. Of course Seth and Georgina are trying to stay apart like normal. Seth's extended family also features some in this book. The mystery around Georgina's contract with Hell is brought up again and there are some hints at what the resolution to that might be as you get towards the end of the book.

This book does a great job of wrapping up the main storyline of Georgina's mysterious black-outs. It also does a great job of setting things up for the next, and supposed, final book. I think things are really in a good place to answer some final questions in book 6. They are questions that won't surprise anyone: will Georgina and Seth ever get to stay together? Is there a loop hole in Georgina's contract with Hell? I am really wishing that I had the 6th book to read right now! A wonderful addition to this series, I loved it.

Travis Foxx's breath caught as Saber Duncan mesmerized her audience, her voice smoldering with passion and filled with an odd, defiant yearning that stripped her heart naked. Could she possibly be the same girl singer whose records two years earlier had left him untouched, unimpressed? She had disappeared for a year and returned a fascinating, engigmatic woman whose mysterious odyssey seemed to have taken her from fragile flower to part jungle cat, part siren. Filled with an obsession to know her secrets, to penetrate the veils she'd wrapped around her life, Travis pushed onward down a trail that seemed to have no end. Was he chasing a dream that even he could never name?
