Such a clever legal thriller! I enjoyed it start to finish! This is my 2nd book by this author (the first being THE LEGAL LIMIT which I also enjoyed). But this one was even better. The protagonist has his problems but he is a character to love and root for. He made mistakes and is working to put his life back in order. He is a brilliant lawyer who lost his way and wants to practice law again. He is thrown an extreme curve ball by a mysterious and unsavory visitor who intends to blackmail him into committing criminal acts. Despite tremendous risks bound to ruin his life and cost him his freedom he refuses to yield to the will of this visitor and the powerful entities he works with. This is a tale of the little guy against all odds fighting for what is right. I loved the ending! I will be reading more of Mr. Clark's work!
