This was a light, easy read that almost had a slap-stick comedy feel to it. It did start out a little slow but it picked up about half-way through. I do have to say though, that I've like his other books that I've read better than this one. I also found out, after reading it, that a bunch of characters were from some of his books that I haven't gotten around to reading yet, so this one should be read after you've read:

Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal
The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove
Practical Demon-Keeping
Island of the Sequined Love Nun

Although, it's only if you like reading about characters to get that nostalgic feeling. I did fine without it.

Overall, it's pretty funny and there were a few moments where I'd get a good laugh out.

Very strangely funny book. The first two chapters were a bit hard to read but by the third I was hooked.

Another tale set in Pine Cove, California, this one at Christmastime. Several singular bizarre incidents combine together to set off a chain of events that literally leaves you howling on the floor with laughter. Well...maybe just on the couch, but I NEARLY fell off I laughed so hard. I've found Moore's books to be somewhat hit or miss, but this one is definitely a hit. I really like the crazy, outlandish Pine Cove clan.

Oh, this was a hysterical book! I definitely laughed out loud multiple times as I read this! I really enjoy Christopher Moore's writing style and his sense of humour - and this book is no exception! It was a funny Christmas story bringing back characters from his other books. It was fun, fast and funny!

Before I say anything else, Ive gotta say that I loved every single one of these characters. And although the other book by Moore Id read ("A Dirty Job") was an enjoyable ride until the end which was a little eh, this one was fully enjoyable the entire way through. There were times when the laughter just bubbled out of me and startled my co-worker when I read during lunch in the lunchroom. It came to a point where she actually said, Okay...is it REALLY that funny? so I read her a part, completely out of context, and she was laughing and wrote it on her own to read list. Be warned, however: this book is completely irreverent. And the angel in it is REALLY stupid. Roberto, the fruit bat, however? Total win.

Very funny, very fast read. I found myself laughing out loud more than a few times with this book. This was my first experience with this author but is won't be my last! Highly recommend!

This is one of the strangest and funniest little books I've read all year. It's definitely different, and if you have a dark sense of humor, then you will enjoy it.

Definitely a strange story, but very funny. It's not my favorite Moore book...Fluke was my favorite. It was sometimes too raunchy for me, but only in small spurts, so I got through it ok and enjoyed the overall storyline. Moore's sarcasm is great!

How can you not love a book with a talking fruit bat, bad santa and a warrior princess in converse tennis shoes?

This book, although sometimes funny, was just nasty. I stopped reading it because of the sexual over tones which were distasteful. Not for me.

True to the writing style of Moore's, with characters from previous novels.

You have to be ready for this author's brand of sarcasm when you read this book. I wasn't. However, since I hadn't read his work previously I plowed ahead. Maybe it's because he focuses on Christmas which is special to me. It's hard to go from the joy and happiness of the season to zombies, weird people and strange situations. After all, it's time to celebrate and enjoy those you love. Ah, well, I finished it. That's something.

A town that is full of crazies to begin with get's sent an angel to grant the Christmas wish of a young boy. The angel who gets the job is a little bonkers himself and...well more chaos ensues as the angel tries to give the child what he wants.

The book is pure silliness which seems to be a theme of Moore books and it is why I like them but sometimes too much silliness can bore a person. Like the saying " You can't have too much a good thing".

I have been recommended The Stupidest Angel many times over the years. Many have said that this is author Christopher Moore's best book. It is the third book I have read by him and I have to said it is in third place for me. I like A Dirty Job and then You Suck for first and second.

Although it is not my favorite Moore book I still like his humor even if sometimes it goes a little too far. I will read more of his books because I do enjoy the characters.

Not quite as "laugh out loud" funny as I was hoping but still very entertaining, only wish there was more zombie!! Overall, it was a good, quick read
