i hope life was not this hard for the early settlers of our country. Wonderful, suspenseful story about well developed, colorful characters. Love it almost as much as Lonesome Dove.

A sequel to "Lovesome Dowe"...A very good book on it's own, but loses in comparasion with the first one.
Great sequel to Lonesome Dove
I recommend this book to anyone
After the last cattle drive...how do we go on? The sequel to Lonesome Dove
In this sequel to Larry McMurtry's LONESOME DOVE, ornery Texas Ranger Captain Call takes on one last mission, tracking down a killer as a freelance bounty hunter. With Pea Eye Parker tagging along, he crosses paths with such Western luminaries as Judge Roy Bean and John Wesley Hardin.
From aurthor of Lonesome Dove, VERY GOOD!
If you liked Lonesome Dove, you will like Streets of Larado.
Excellent sequal to Lonesome Dove.
Not as good as Lonesome Dove. I was disappointed in his characters this time around but worth reading if you liked Lonesome Dove. Read LD first though.
One of the top twenty all-time best books I've ever read from one of the best writers who ever lived. McMurtry is the mastercrafter of interesting characters and authenticity of historical detail drips from every page. I want all his books (in this series) in hardback.
Another good Book by Mc murtry. Besure to read it after reading Lonesome Dove. Many references to that you need to know to put it all together
One of Larry McMurtry's best!

Excellent stand alone book that is actually a sequel to Lonesome Dove. The sequels are never as good and it took over 100 pages to get into this, but it was classic McMurtry western fiction. A bit too much murder and mayhem for me, but a worthy read, nonetheless.
good follow up Lonesome Dove.
Loved it!

McMurtry wraps up his Lonesome Dove cycle definitively as he writes of the final days of many of his characters, with some unexpected resolutions, wrapped around the story of an aging Captain Call on the trail of a cold-blooded killer.
This book is a sequel to Lonesome Dove and the kind of story where you just have to know what happens next.
This book is a sequel to "Lonesome Dove". Streets of Laredo" follows the life of Woodrow Call as he tries to capture a young Mexican train robber. I liked it but not as much as I did "Lonesome Dove".
