Excellent stand alone book that is actually a sequel to Lonesome Dove. The sequels are never as good and it took over 100 pages to get into this, but it was classic McMurtry western fiction. A bit too much murder and mayhem for me, but a worthy read, nonetheless.
Another good Book by Mc murtry. Besure to read it after reading Lonesome Dove. Many references to that you need to know to put it all together
good follow up Lonesome Dove.
One of the top twenty all-time best books I've ever read from one of the best writers who ever lived. McMurtry is the mastercrafter of interesting characters and authenticity of historical detail drips from every page. I want all his books (in this series) in hardback.
Not as good as Lonesome Dove. I was disappointed in his characters this time around but worth reading if you liked Lonesome Dove. Read LD first though.
One of Larry McMurtry's best!
After the last cattle drive...how do we go on? The sequel to Lonesome Dove
If you liked Lonesome Dove, you will like Streets of Larado.
Excellent sequal to Lonesome Dove.
