My friend gave this to me in a time of loss. I ended up giving my copy to a sibling and finding a replacement on PBS. So valuable for getting into Scripture when your heart is heavy and tired. Always helps refocus my thoughts on God and His care for me and His perspective on difficulty. Highly recommend to anyone going through a desert time in life.

ONE OF THE BEST DEVOTIONAL BOOK, EVER! INSIGHTFUL, NON-PREACHY; CAUSING ONE TO BE INTROSPECTIVE AND HONEST. SOLID!

This book has been an amazing blessing! I've had it for several years and each time I am suffering I just open the book to any page and receive great comfort! In my opinion, Streams in the Desert is worth more than it's weight in gold! :)

This is one of the most poignant books I have. It is Holy Spirit laden with great wisdom and has again and again been so right on with the words that I needed to hear that morning. Filled with excerpts, quotes, poetry, and great stories and analogies it almost always speaks to me in a way that starts off my day in a positive way. It is like each page is filled with scriptural truth that helps put my life into perspective. Giving s copy of this book to others is now one of the kindest things I can do.
Although there are several other daily meditation books in my collection, this one never gathers dust. It is meaty and robust with the poignancy of its illustrations. For me it has a full five rating.

The BEST devotional for those who are hurting or struggling or waiting on GOD to do something in their lives. It is a beautiful book. Each day, a new lesson, brings my mind back around to focus on HIM. It helps me understand WHY I must sometimes wait, and it helps me understand why I must sometimes "BE STILL."
