I finished this book at 3am having tried to set it down several times, but never being able to as I had to know how the book finished, knowing I would not be able to sleep if I did not read it to the end. And oh how I gladly embrace my tired day as this book completely and utterly blew me away and I feel it was the best book I have read in a very, very long time. The story of Charlie and Kate is not an easy one, but their road to love was filled with humor and emotion and when the book ended I almost wished that it wasn't fiction, that they were real and that I could look up and see how their lives were progressing.

I see that many people liked the book, however I gave up after 30 pages. I didn't find any redeeming qualities in either character.

I'd been looking forward to this book for years because I'd heard so many good things about it. While it had an interesting premise (2 people both trying to commit suicide, meet and save each other), it was totally forgettable to me. This surprised me because I've read and enjoyed other things by Elsborg. But I'd put it down and completely forget about reading it. Then I'd find it and think, Oh yeah, I need to read that.
The writing was good, the characters were (mostly) believable but it was just not compelling. I had a very difficult time reading it and had to force myself to do so.
