Being locked in a dark closet, tied back to back with a devastatingly handsome man during a bank robbery, had its high points, Meribeth Bradford admitted. And once the spunky sheriff's daughter did her best to foil the heist, she vowed to get to know her partner in captivity better - face to face this time! Edward Spears was too much of a city slicker for the small South Carolina town, until Maribeth picked him as her very special project. It was easy enough to exchange his custom suits for cowboy boots and jeans, but trying to teach him the quirks of the locals raised sparks between them - igniting fires that not even a carnival's dunking booth could put out! Exhilarated by her power to make Edward desire her, but confused by the heady feeling he's aroused, Maribeth needed to put past loves behind her. Did she believe Edward's words of love, or would the man who called the bright lights home slip away and leave her lonely?
