I've barely finished the book, and I'm already quoting from it, and getting some great laughs. Richards doesn't dance around her subject, whether it be politics, alcholism, race, gender, but cuts right to the heart of the matter with refreshing frankness, and yet in the telling there is kindness and self-deprecation. She tells some great Texas yarns, too!
