I loved this book. I think it takes the ideas of Ishmael to a whole other level. It can be confusing because all the lectures of one of the characters are written in the back and you have to turn to them repeatedly during reading, however this does not distract once you get used to it.

This is one of the best, most enlightening books I've ever read. Certainly not to eclipse "Ishmael" and "My Ishmael" by the same author - they are all part of a continuous whole. They broke my mind wide open and allow me to see the world in many new contexts. All through fairly simple allegorical stories. Give yourself a gift and read these books! :-)

One of my favorite books. The story has some surprises, and generally continues the ideas presented in Quinn's earlier book, Ishmael.
My favorite book I've read by Daniel Quinn. I would suggest it be on the "1001 Books to Read Before You Die" List.

I liked Ishmael and My Ishmael better, but this is still an interesting exploration of Daniel Quinn's ideas.
Daniel Quinn is some REAL gospel.
