Storm Novelo is the center of attention everywhere she goes. New to Big Lake, she waltzes into the high school and is immediately part of the in-crowd. But when Storm is alone, shes quiet and depressed, bored with her life. Her family moves a lot, and that has contributed to Storms short attention span. She never stays with a project long.

Now Storm is bored with the blog shes writing with her friends. She wants out, and so she quitsand joins the school newspaper. But journalism isnt everything Storm thought it would be.

Will Storm ever learn to be satisfied with the way God made her? Or will she spend her life running, hiding behind the fake shes become?

STORM RISING is the fourth book in the FaithGirlz <> series, but it easily stands alone. I dont think this book was quite as well written as the others and I found it quite depressing, although it did end well.

I was expecting Storm to be quite a different person than the way she seemed in this book, and that was a bit disappointing. Otherwise, the story was well told, the faith message expertly woven in, and the plot line consistent. Written for girls ages 8 12, this book is an excellent addition to the series. A sneak preview of Grace Under Pressure, the next book in the series, is included at the rear of the book. $5.99. 103 pages.
