I didn't really care for this one, I thought it started out kind of interesting but then it just got boring with Virgil and a woman from Israel chasing chasing chasing all the time and too many unfamiliar names etc. that I get very tired of trying to read but the story just kind of stalled and I flipped to the back and got all I needed, which is what I do when a book is lagging in the storyline

Very disappointed in this book. I usually really like Sanford's books, this one is so boring. Nothing like his other novels. Don't waste your time reading it!

Virgil Flowers is a hoot. This book combines a "guess who did it" quality with some tongue in cheek humor.

This was not the best of the Virgil Flowers books although it was still good. The basic premise is not as believable as most of the others. Some of the characters were also not as believable. Still, overall this was a good read as are all John Sandford books.

Catching up on some Virgil Flowers stories. I really enjoy John Sandford's writing. His characters have...well, they really have character! And some are characters!! Just starting the book following this one.

Virgil called by his police buddies) has always had a bit more comedy to him than Sandford's other police novel hero, Lucas Davenport. But in "Storm Front," An israeli Man with a backpack searches desperately for a boat.In Minnesota, Virgil gets a message from Lucas Davenport : "You are about to get a visitor". It is an Israeli cop and she is tailing a man that has smuggled out a historical relic. It's s a copper scroll supposedly about KIng Solomon.

The lady cop gets angry and says there are some evil men tailing this relic. They will do anything to get it.Virgil gets dead serious about this case. No pun intended.
