This is a very good book telling stories concerning slaves, owners and others. A unique look from the slaves point of view. Gave me more to think about and to come to terms with for myself.

This gives a good depiction of the mood of the country leading up to the Civil War seen through the eyes of a plantation owner, his daughter, her beau and the "servants".
