If you liked "The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson, you should enjoy this TV screenplay set on a New England island during the biggest blizzard in years. Reading a screenplay is much like reading a stage play-- both different from reading a novel in that you don't get the rich character descriptions, nor pastoral settings that good authors share in books.
A small island community is affected by a horrible murder just as a wicked winter storm is moving in that will shut them off from the mainland-- not only from news, supply lines, and electricity, but from communicating with the authorities. As more and more mishaps occur, everyone will become suspicious of the stranger locked up in the town's holding cell who was found sitting in the home of the murder victim. And just what does he want from the townspeople to make it all stop?
