I have heard and read quite a few people say they liked "Bitten" (1st book) better, but I have to say I disagree. I liked this one much better. It seemed faster paced and lots more fun. The first was okay, yet it seemed to lack something. It was definatley a 'meet the characters' type of thing, less story~ more introduction...which was good enough for me to get this second book, but this book was better enough for me to want to continue the series! A very enjoyable quick read =)

In Bitten, 30 yrd old Elena Michaels came to terms with her feral appetites and claimed the proud identity of a beautiful, successful woman- and the only living female werewolf.
In Stolen, on a mission for her own elite pack, she is lured into the net of ruthless Internet billionaire Tyrone Winsloe, who has funded a bogus scietific investigation of the "other races" and their supernatural powers. Kidnapped and studied in his underground lab deep in the Maine woods, these paranormals-witches, vampires, shamans, werewolves-are then released and hunted to the death in a real-world video game. But when he captures Elena, he finally meets his match.
Great book!!!

Book number two in the Women of the Otherworld series brings back my favorite heroine to date, Elena Michaels. We are introduced to three new characters who will become very important in later books. Action packed and kudos to Ms. Armstrong, still filled with great plot and character development. I only wish she would write faster!

There's members of the paranormal who are missing where are they, who's taking them?? Then Elena Michaels is stolen will the pack be able to find her before anything happens to her? Or will Elena find her way out? I'm not telling!!! You will have to read the book to find out...
Anyways it a very good book and will have you wanting to read more to find out the ending... Very good book watching for Bk #3.

Great addition to the series - helped set the storyline for several more books.

The second book in the "Women of the Otherworld" series. Elena is contacted by a group of supernatural beings including witches, vamps, and half-demons. Someone has been taking supernaturals to experiment on.
Great follow up for a second book.. Introduces new characters that become prevalent in following books.

Fantastic sequel to Bitten. While they probably could be read out of order some of the interactions with characters are not described as well but pieces of what occurred prior gives you recall of the prior story. Can't wait to read bk 3

Elena Michaels is back in the second book in the Women of the Otherworld series. Stolen is just as fast paced, mysterious, and witty as Bitten. I love Kelley Armstrong's writing style and would recommend this series to others.

I'm really enjoying this series so far. This is book 2 in the Women Of The Otherworld series. Both Bitten and this book have been quick reads for me. The pace is quick and the story never gets boring. I definitely recommend this book and plan to continue to read the series.

I LOVE this book. This is a great series. The interaction between Clay and Elena is wonderful.

Everything is just rather intense, but beyond that, it is so well written - the descriptions, the characters, the plot and twists. The only part that bothered me was right after Elena was captured and she was being taken on a tour of the facility - she just seemed to be taking it all a bit too casually for me to believe that would be her reaction. But that didn't last too long, so I got back into the story and character quickly.
A follow-up to Bitten, this book ties up Elena's story and introduces more characters that are featured in other books in this series. Good story, great character development and well-paced action.
Excellent addition to the Women of the Otherworld series. Elena is back as the only female werewolf. Just as she is accepting her roel in the pack, she is kidnapped by a billionaire nutcase who wants to study paranormals and then hunt them. Ty Winsloe has to be one of the most despicable antagonists I read in a long while. Jeremy, Clay and a cast of new paranormals all come together to save Elena and the others in the compound. Good characters, good story. 4 stars
This sequel was cute, fun and definitely entertaining. I'm enjoying this series, even if the audience seems to be younger, like high school-adolescent age... had I read these then, I would've really loved them, I am sure. I'm a little nervous since the next book abandons the werewolves, but hopefully it's good since I already bought the rest of the series.
I think that the first book in this series was better than Stolen, but not by much. I was excited to be introduced to the new characters and species of magical creatures. Can't wait to pick up the next book in the series!
This is a Great series of books
Kelley Armstrong is a great writer, who writes adventuresome novels filled with equal parts romance and sex, humor and fun, and magic and mayhem, winding several storylines together in her Women of the Otherworld novels, dealing with witches, werewolves, and demons. I enjoyed them enough when I read them for the first time, that this request for her books was actually a second go around, because I wanted to read them again, and add them to my own private stash of books. I highly recommend them to all magic lovers out there.
I read this book first not realizing it was part of a series. I was impressed enough to get the rest of the series and read them.
I really enjoyed this book. It was exciting and you meet many new characters. It sets the stage for the rest of the series which flips through the characters introduced in this book.
Another great book from Kelley Armstrong. This is third book of hers I have read and she is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. Stolen draws you in starting with the first page. It is a fast paced thrilling book. There are lots of new and interesting charicters in this story, however, I did miss a few of the old. All in all this was great sequal to an awsome book. I can't wait to read the next one in this series.
Great werewolf action romance novel. I would recommend to anyone!
I can't say enough about the whole series...it's written wonderfully and is very exciting
Better than the first. I really enjoyed this book. A little worried about Paige's story next. I am afraid I will miss Clay and Eleana too much...
This was a wonderful sequel to Bitten, and I was excited to see a 2nd book about Elena. This book introduced the rest of the series characters quite well, and had plenty of thrill to keep it going strong. Sometimes I get bored with series characters, but I have yet to tire of Elena.
I was disappointed that this was Elena's last book (at least for awhile).

Werewolf paranormal writer. But, I've read better.
My second book of this series and it only got better. It brought in more characters who I am sure will appear in other segments of this series. I look forward to reading more books in this series.
This was another page turner. I could barely put it down. Very well written story that carried me along to the end. I highly recommend this book.
I put off reading this for a long time because I liked the first one but not enough...so I finally got around reading this one and liked it much better. I'll read the next one.
A great follow-up to Ms. Armstrong's first book "Bitten". I enjoyed this one too. Some parts did drag a bit but it didn't stop me from reading the book. I wanted to know how it would end. Ready for the next book!
"Stolen" continues the story of Elena Michaels, a young woman turned werewolf, where the book, "Bitten" left off. The relationships between Elena and her pack, especially Clay are just as real and engaging as in the former book. Ms. Armstrong shows an amazing gift in painting life as it would be as a half human/half werewolf with incredible depth and understanding. The downside in this book is the inordinate amount and graphic nature of the violence. It's not the generic "they killed the man" type or even the "they blew up the building with everyone in it" type. It is the personal description of each kill with graphic imagery used repeatedly with relish that just isn't this reader's cup of tea.
Now, Bitten is easily my favorite shapeshifter book, and ranks pretty highly among fantasy books overall. First and foremost, this is because it has such a strong female narrator who's story evokes empathy in a way that few others in the genre manage. Secondly, because it addresses everything associated with being a werewolf--from blood-lust to pack structure--on a very personal level. And finally, because Armstrong addresses Elena's relationships, romantic and otherwise, with so much honesty and realism. Given all of this, it might seem like Stolen has impossibly big shoes to fill. How does it measure up? SPOILERS AHEAD!
Well, as I said this book is still focused on Elena. So it has the advantage of her wit, sarcasm, toughness, and deeply buried emotions that surface unexpectedly. In the books initial chapters I thought I just might be in for a pleasant surprise, because not only did we have Elena and her fantastic supporting cast--namely Clay and Jeremy--but a whole new intriguing group of characters. Paige the witch, and her Aunt Ruth, invite the werewolves to a council of supernatural creatures to address the recent kidnappings of many of their kind. Turns out there are also half-demons, shamans, vampires, and...who knows what else. The werewolves are naturally unaccustomed to playing nice with others, and so it doesn't exactly go perfectly.
In any case, if the opening was a treat of paranormal politics and character establishment, the middle was a kind of torture. Elena is kidnapped and it quickly devolves into a capture/escape story. Which brings me to my main complaints. The kidnappers seem to want the supernatural beings in order to study them (among other things). This happens often enough in urban fantasy that I'm starting to think that Murdered by Evil Scientists in Research Related Endeavors must rank somewhere in the top 10 causes of death for supernatural creatures. For her part, Elena spends her time in captivity feeling kind of sorry for herself, meeting the researchers and other captives, and half-assedly thinking up escape plans. I was very bored by this process.
Then there's the none to subtle nod to The Most Dangerous Game . Ty Winsloe, the money behind the research operation, has a thing for hunting supernatural creatures. I had an itch in my brain telling me that I'd read something like this before and I realized that Keri Arthur did her own version of "werewolves= the most dangerous game" in her book Dangerous Games. Note: I'm fairly certain Dangerous Games was published after Stolen. Regardless of this, while I have to acknowledge that being hunted like prey (or even doing the hunting) does make for an exciting plot line, it isn't the most original thing in the world and it didn't add much to this book.
Now, I'm fairly certain that this capture/rescue research facility plot was designed to force the various supernatural creatures to work together. I can respect that and I admit that I enjoyed it. In fact, the last several chapters in which everyone's strengths and powers are utilized in a team setting is fantastically well done.
In sum, this was a book with a very strong start and a satisfying ending, but a pretty lackluster middle. It was extremely difficult to assign it a grade. It doesn't at all compare with Bitten and if I were to rate it based on that comparison it would be pretty low. It lacks all of the things that made Bitten great--the pack dynamics, the romantic conflict, all of the character development. But ignoring this comparison it actually is worth reading. All things considered I'm giving it a 3.5.

This is the second book in Armstrong's debut series, continuing Elena's story. An excellent follow-up, Elena is captured by a man amassing a collection of supernatural creatures. This book introduces characters who are later given their own books, and is best read after the first book, Bitten.
Another good book by Kelley Armstrong. I'm not sure why she sets her story in the USA when she hates America, tho.

2nd Book in Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld series. A must-read for paranormal fans.
Enjoyed this one can't wait for the next.
Excellent...what I expect from Kelley Armstrong. Can't wait to read the next one!

very good book about supernaturals such as witches, vampires, shamans, and werewolves.
The second in the series
Second book in the series. I am really loving it.
I loved this book! Full of thrill.
Book two of the Women of the Otherworld series. This is an excellent follow-up to Bitten and introduces a wide variety of supernatural characters.
The saga of Elana continues. She is strong, female and just happens to be a werewolf.
awesome but not as good as the first one 'bitten'.
Women of the Otherworld is a great story, never ending thrills and new characters.

I really like this book.. certanly not for the "romance" there just isn't much.. so have to rely on other authors for that, but this was good enough that I will read the next!
Even better then Bitten, but there was a few moments that it got boring but after a few pages it kicks back up.
I enjoyed this one more then the 1st book, Bitten.
You can't put this book down! Action-packed and fast-paced all the way through!
Love it! What a fabulous series!!!
I enjoyed this sequel more than the previous book, "Bitten." Elena is more sympathetic and likeable, and the myriad of characters prevents the book from being solely focused on her and Clay. There's still a bit of sex, but it isn't gratuitous. I've read "Dime Store Magic" and "Industrial Magic," and the kidnappings in this book are referenced in those. Overall, a very entertaining read!
Excellent choice for lovers of werewolves, romance and eroticism, and of course a female werewolf that knows how to kick butt.
This is the 2nd bookmin the series and tells how Elaine, a werewolf, is captured and held in a research facility.
