Meet Anna Karavajian. Her story has adventure, suspense, romance, even a little opera. At 22, tradegy robbed her of her planned-for future. At 37, she has rebuilt a semblance of a life, moved from embattled teacher to head of her father's printing company, left the safety net of her protective Armenian family to forge her own idenity as a professional and as a woman.

Then comes Charles Borden III, a talented playwright, whom Anna admits into her life with wild, unreserved passion, until a seemingly minor theft tests her code of ethics and threathens the very foundation of their love.
