A look into the life of a young man transformed from child actor to one of Gods own spokesman. Full of funny stories, interjecting with truths about the character of Kirk Cameron. But more importantly, showing that Hollywood is more than just a pretty face on screen. Kirks book is about seeing life for what it is, even with all his Growing pains..

Great book, I really enjoyed it. Before reading this I really didn't know much about Kirk Cameron except that he was on Growing Pains while I was growing up. I am so glad I read this because Kirk & Chelsea Cameron seem so real, like they could be your neighbors. I loved hearing the story of their faith and how they live it out loud!

Prior to reading "Still Growing: An Autobiography", all I really knew about Kirk Cameron was that he had starred in Growing Pains. Now, I have a new found respect for Kirk Cameron. His book is a testimony of his faith in God. He realized that in spite of having a good moral upbringing he was still missing something--God. I was surprised at his intelligence, wit and writing style. I highly recommend it.
Kirk Cameron is a pretty famous actor, even though he hasn't done a ton of recent mainstream work. Recently he is known for his activism in regards to his faith and the few controversies around his actions he has taken in defense of his faith. I was excited to read this book and read his story before Growing Pains and his most recent moments.
I grew up on Growing Pains and remember hearing a few of the dramatic behind the scenes stories, so to hear his side of the story was interesting. The reader must realize that this is only one side of the whole story. As I see Kirk Cameron as this perfect Christian, it was interesting to read about his childhood and it humanized him a little.
Although I still think he is very extreme and polarizing, I enjoyed this one.
