Stepping Heavenward is one of my top three favorite books of all time. It never fails to inspire me to live more fully for Christ and dedicate myself more totally to the job of raising my children for God's glory. Whenever I find a used copy available, I always pick it up and pass them along to friends, family, and acquaintances.

This is a lovely book about "one woman's journey to Godliness". It was written by a young woman who lived in the 1800's. The truths put forth remain vaild. Truly inspirational.

Love, love, love this book. A great story to re-read about a woman's spiritual journey to the Lord. Very encouraging. A book to pick-up during all seasons of life.

This was very inspirational. It is a story of a young girl who grows deeper in love with Jesus and you get to watch her faith grow throughout her years of journalling. I found it beautiful and filled with love and truth of the Lord. I think mothers especially would enjoy this story.

I couldn't put this book down!! I've read it several times, and each time, I get something new out of it. Everyone I've recommended it to has loved it too. In fact when I loan it out, I never get it back, they always ask to keep it. That is why I ordered two copies this time.

Five stars. Amazing journey of one woman's life from her introduction to God to a life of love and service for God. This book was a stepping stone to my receiving Christ as my Saviour a month ago. The first half of the book is a bit dry but please don't give up. The last half of the book is amazing and life changing. Enjoy!

I have to admit I trudged through the first few chapters thinking I was not going to like this book. However, I suddenly became engrossed in the endearing life of a young woman struggling to overcome the natural selfishness we all share, and learn to live life to its fullest by giving to others. Katherine is an easy girl to relate to, meaning that when she learns a hard lesson, you do as well.
The book starts when Katherine is 16 and decides it is about time she devote herself to writing a journal about her life. Follow Katherine as she grows into womanhood.
A beautifully written book by Elizabeth Prentiss, one that every girl and woman should read.

Incredible book! This is one of my favorite books. I couldn't put it down and actually looked forward to waiting on the doctor's office just so I could read more. I have recommended it to every lady I know who enjoys reading.

This is like Bridget Jones' Diary from the 1800's. Fascinating!
For a fiction work, it was excellent. I'm just a nonfiction/biography kind of gal. :) I think my daughters will really like it because they enjoy reading fiction a lot.
