This book is a bit alarmist. Information is repetitive at times and dated (late '90s, early 2000s). While it may be true, the bad port deals with China at Long Beach, The Panama Canal, etc. are done deals at this point. Not much we can do about it. Write your congressman/senator if you are concerned about it.
Maybe if there is another book with more up to date material (an "in the news" style) book; it would seem more urgent/necessary to react to.
