It's hard to get too excited about a book when you know the final outcome. This book about plots by both Japan and Russia to steal the secrets and uranium of the atomic bombs that ended WWII is facinating if anticlimatic. The characters are not particularly well developed but the plot lines are a tangled web which keeps you hooked reading to the end even when you know the ending.

Los Alamos 1945: The first nuclear weapon is about to be tested-- and the second is about to be stolen!

Finn is the O.S.S. captain charged with safeguarding all the processed uranium there is in the entire world-- just enough to make two bombs. The bombs that will be dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The man known as Kestrel, samurai and spy, means to steal it for Japan.

And so does the Englishwoman Vanessa Lyon, for her Russian masters. If she succeeds, Russia will invade China and Japan. War with the U.S. will be inevitable. In Finn's hands is the power to save or lose a world.
