This is the first book I've read by this author. It was a very good book.
Shadows in the night....Liam Jameson is a world-famous writer of paranormal thrillers. But fame has its price, and now Liam lives reclusively on a remote Scottish island.
Then Rosa Chantry knocks on his door and throws his world upside down. His desire for her is strong, but his conviction that he cannot satisfy a woman is stronger.
But Rosa is persistent, and so is Liam's need for her. She is determined to ease his fear that the past has robbed him of power as a man....

I especially liked one aspect of this book. The hero is a famous novelist who was attacked by a crazed fan, leaving him with horrible scars and other medical problems. The thing I liked about this book was the hero's insecurites about his looks. It is so typical to see female character's driven by insecurties about looks, but you almost never see it about a male character. Usually the man is pushing for sex, and the woman is hesitating because she thinks she doesnt look pleasing. In this novel, the woman is pushing for sex and the man is reluctant because he doesn't want to reveal his flaws.
This was a good read, and not so typical for Harlequin Presents. That, however, is a good thing in my opinion because reading a book that is too "formula" driven can sometimes be a bore!
