This was one of the better SG-1 novels that I have read. The action moves at a brisk enough pace to keep the audience interested and there is enough character development in the story to establish an interest in their fate as the story unfolds. The plot allows for exploration of character traits in the SG-1 team that may otherwise have gone untapped in the TV medium.
