A great follow-up to Aftermath.

Not as good as the first one Aftermath, but just as readable. Most of the same characters are in this book.
The story deals with what happens after they go into space to set up the defense net. It's pretty riveting but Sheffield never does fully explain the Alpha C being blown up by aliens theory. Oliver Guest is back with his clones,as is Celine Tanaka, Seth Parisigan, etc.

This is the sequel to "Aftermath". The two books can be read independently and still be completely enjoyable.
Good modern science fiction...plausible storyline about a supernova pointing straight towards Earth. The first volume was about the initial consequences of the supernova with serious damage especially to anything containing modern technology.
The second volume picks up about 20 years later as society is starting to put itself back together again. The primary story here is the coming particle stream heading for earth....interesting and an interesting ending.
