Lynn Kurland writes one of my favorite series of books - following the de Piaget family through time. This one is about Kendrick - a thirteenth-century knight, betrayed & killed by his betrothed & her accomplice, cursed to spend eternity haunting Seakirk castle. Bent on destroying his betrothed's line of descendants, believing it is the only way to send his spirit on it's way, he has whittled them down through the centuries to the last one - Genevieve Buchanan. What he didn't count on was falling in love with her.
Kurland is a master painter of gorgeous, arrogant Highland warriors. She works her magic touch as Genevieve unwittingly disarms & charms Kendrick. The plot twist at the end seems a little rushed, and Genevieve's "innocence" is carried a little too far in my opinion, but all-in-all, a very good read and in keeping with Kurland's excellent story telling ability.

I hate people who give a book away. Most of the time I don't even read the back of the book. So I will let you discover the details.. This is a really good book. Get this...big beautiful highlander ghosts haunts the last remaining relative of his enemy...his cheatin fiance from 800 years ago...give or take a few hundred years. What can a ghost and a mortal do.. you have to read it to believe it.

Sweet romantic story about a handsome ghost and the pretty lady who tames him. I enjoyed the story and recommend this book if you are a romantic at heart.
Genevieve Buchanan is pulled out of her comfortable life when she inexplicably loses her business and discovers she has inherited a castle in England. After a few misgivings she makes the decision to claim this bizarre inheritance that seems to have come out of the blue. Her castle turns out to be haunted by Kendrick de Piaget, a knight from the 13th century.
I've been reading Lynn Kurland's books completely out of order and I started with a few of her time-travel romances. I was a bit skeptical about a love story involving a ghost but Stardust of Yesterday is exactly the same set up as her time-travel novels. Except our hero is a ghost. It's funny, I have no problem suspending disbelief regarding time-travel but falling in love with a ghost is a little much for me. It all comes down to fantasy preference as so far I find the author's books roughly exactly the same. The same sort of chocolate/ ice cream loving heroines, the same bellowing, arrogant yet lovable heroes. The same conflicts that blow over in a few paragraphs. The same sort of bad guys. And the same completely unbelievable virgin innocence from her 20-th century female leads (I've lost count of how many of them are terrified of sleeping with their husbands).
Despite the cookie-cutter stories, some of her novels I truly love. This one, in my opinion, fell a bit flat. Building a dream library for your wife only to become jealous and upset when she wants to read? I don't see how that is attractive in any way. A few other strange plot points that I won't get into for fear of spoiling the book. One particular detail involving ghosts Royce and Nazir really irked me. Basically something VERY IMPORTANT that happens to them towards the end was glossed over so much that I hadn't even realized it occurred and I became confused.

I did not want it to end!!! A truly romantic story for anyone who would like to have a knight in shining armor sweep them off their feet.
I love this author. Great romance with a little suspense, action & humor thrown in. Good clean fun, all around!
Lynn Kurland is such a wonderful escape writer. I really enjoy her books when I want to be transported somewhere romantic in a different time!

Entertaining, however not Kurland's best, in my opinion. The premise is wonderful yet the heroine, Genevieve, quickly got on my nerves. Her excessive naivete became annoying rather than charming.

This was an ecellant story.
Very enjoyable - Lynn Kurland brings the past to life.

But when his thoughts turned to wooing her instead, Genevieve had to face her gratest fear: falling in love.
This is one of my favorite Lynn Kurland books.
The first half of this book was absoultely great, then it just became really slow then slightly redeemed itself in the end.
