In my opinion Diane Carey is the best of the Star Trek book's twenty+ authors. The ship of the line is very well done and there is something addicting about listening to a book in the car while you drive... It's better then talk shows, commercials, and a lot of music. The story revolves around the new Enterprise (#6) with an aging crew, This is the next generation crew, and Picard is not sure he wants to have even one more adventure. But when the ship your on is The Enterprise, adventure is always awaiting you.
