This book is based on the Star Trek series created by Gene Roddenberry. I believe it is the first done by Blish.

If you liked the original series, you will enjoy this novelization of seven episodes.
Good book, I enjoyed it very much. It gave me an opportunity to read the adventures of the original series in short story form.
