What else can ruin the holiday for Lucy Stone, the fireworks and parade are cancelled and her dog is stealing chickens. It only get worse when she stumbles on the body of her nasty neighbor and she is the prime suspect. Very good book, but then I have loved them all so far and can't wait to dive into the next.

I enjoyed this book, it is funny in parts, not one of those gory mystery books.

Lucy Stone is in the doghouse -- with her next-door neighbor, Mrs. Prudence Pratt. It seems that Kudo, the Stone's misbehaving mutt, has developed a taste for Mrs. Pratt's blue-ribbon chickens, as well as an escape artist's talent for sneaking out. Another sign that the crazy days of summer are in full swing arrives when a group of naturists -- aka nudists-- descends on Tinker's Cove, skinny-diping at the pond that borders Mrs. Pratt's property, giving her something else to complain about. Next: Mrs. Pratt is the victim of a hit and run.
Lucy Stone mystery - always fun. Cozy at its best - Tinkers Cove, Maine, nudist colony, neighbors fighting over dogs and a murder thrown in. Good light read...
great book!!!
This is another hilarious adventure of Lucy Stone and the wonderful little town of Tinker's Cove, Maine. This time she is dealing with the Fourth of July, nudists and a very cranky neighbor.
Lucy Stone, a mother and a part-time newspaper reporter, is entangled
in the summertime problems of her small town of Tinker's Cove, Maine.
A group of naturists, lobster poaching and cancellation of the Fourth of July fireworks all figure in the mix.

A nice, quick read for a summer day at the beach.

Ok so this book was not her best. The murderer turned out to be a character who was murdered in an earlier book. This one let me down. I love the lucy stone mysteries but this one wasnt up to par
it was an excelant read, all her books are hard to put down.
Another great Lucy Stone mystery!
