Like most Andre Norton, it walks a fine line between science fiction and fantasy. The most "fantastic" feature is telepathy; extremely little "science" is involved at all. Lots of action and sympathetic characters, though, and a fun--although quick--read. An interesting look at what might happen if humans landed on an inhabited planet more than once.
