I'm glad this will be a series, even though it is a bit formulaic. The characters are cool and I will enjoy seeing them fleshed out even more as the series continues.

The standard storyline of daughter returning home to a small town after a failed marriage and having to confront the ghosts of her past may be a well-used plot device but it works here as a simply enjoyable read. Not as much crafting information as in some series but art restoration information is sprinkled throughout. I really like to learn trivial facts when reading a cozy and this one delivers much to research further without detracting from the plot.

While I knew about halfway through that one of the characters was quite shady, I did not expect a few of the twists thrown into the mix. All in all, a very enjoyable one-day quick read!
