Having finished this read, I can't help reflecting upon the pressures and stress that young talented people encounter when they reach the top. The talented young men who formed the Led Zeppelin group found themselves immersed in a world unlike any they had ever dreamed about. Three were from working class families but their talent took them far beyond that life. It's informative and sad but well done. If you have but encountered the music of this group you will find this read so informative. I keep thinking about it.

This is one the best books written on this legendary rock band, by their tour manager Richard Cole. I enjoyed this immensely, and the antics described within are in true Zeppelin fashion.

This read left me with so much food for thought that I felt drained. Understanding what the band endured as they spiraled to fame and fortune explained so much about how all the rumors about the band evolved. Young men, extremely talented, create and live their dream, happiest only when they were playing their music. Yes, the author tells it like it was including how the media, critics, and fans affected the band members who became addicted to alcohol and drugs. When the drummer died because he choked to death because of his alcohol the band literally fell apart. It was sad but did not detract from the talent these musicians exhibited during their twelve year run. I like books that tell life as it is about real people.
